Harry Potter scenes? He was THE "chosen one", not
the "pissed one". I feel like it spoils the "magical-ness" of it all a little...
Moving along from inebriation, we have been debating a
dining room table and chairs for a while. We had one in Houston , but we never used it. So, when we
moved, we decided to go without. Well, we managed perfectly well for about 19
months (hard to believe we have lived here for so long), but yesterday we decided
to take the plunge. When we had people over, we either had to cozy up on the couch
or sit on the floor (minimalist style) and it was getting a little old. We had
been looking for several weeks, but everything we came across was EXPENSIVE.
Furniture is so pricey! However, we finally settled on the one below and had
our first "civilized" dinner party last night, with our friends
Johanne and Koen! Now, the
current debate is whether to leave the chair and tables in the den or to move
it to the living room?
PROS (den) -
- Use the space
- Allows the living room to still feel open and spacious
- Can't watch TV
CONS (den) -
- Space is a little limited, could feel tight
- Can't watch TV (ahem, Matt)
- Could potentially feel isolated from the rest of the apartment
VERDICT -
- Leave it in the den for now, so come on over to EAT!

Only a few hours (7 to be exact, but who is counting?) until the game and of course, excitement and nervousness are running high around here. Our friends graciously invited us over to their Superbowl party, but for the sake of Matt's well-being we are staying home. As Gisele stated in her "disgustingly sappy" e-mail to friends and family, "join me on this positive chain...and pray for a victory this Sunday".
Did you know that more than 48 million people order food on this day? We are currently discussing whether we should partake and order pizza :) Apparently, Superbowl Sunday is the second biggest day of food consumption in the United States (after Thanksgiving). Also, can you believe that today's game is projected to average 117 million viewers?!
GO PATRIOTS!!
P.S: Meet Alana, Honey Boo Boo Child (Toddlers and Tiaras) - This video is RIDICULOUS.
